A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of visiting the recently relocated Iko Iko shop in West Hollywood and chatting with owner Kristin Dickson. The space is sort of an art gallery-retail shop hybrid and together with partner Shin Okuda, the two have developed a solid vision that carries into every element of the space, housing some of the most unique product I've seen around town.
Best For: One-of-a-kind gifts for your design aficionado friends.
Highlights: Unique pieces from Kristin's own clothing line, Rowena Sartin.
Recommendation: Ceramics by Julia Haft-Candell and Waka Waka's colorful, geometric bookends.
Visit: 931 North Fairfax Avenue
Los Angeles, CA 90046

:) Miss you too J!
DeleteThis is one of my favorite shops! I'm dying to see the physical store. I love how she bridges the whole art/object realm. I'm definitely going next time i'm in LA!
ReplyDeleteTotally agree + you definitely should!
DeleteLove the ceramics/pottery. Looks like a great space.
ReplyDeletewhat cool is this kind of iniciative, one store differents independents artist.
ReplyDeleteI think I just fell in love with the pottery they sell. The chawan (or bowl, not sure) with the stripes is seriously beautiful! And I'm jealous of the magazine selection! I don't know where to find the Gentlewoman here (Portland) and I really want to check it out.
ReplyDeleteI love your photos. They're so simple and clean.
ReplyDeleteThey remind me a furniture brand... take a look:
