I recently had the pleasure of working with Ottawa-based musician, Renée Yoxon for the CD design of her forthcoming album with Mark Ferguson. This was definitely one of the most fun and rewarding projects I've worked on this year, and a perfect marriage of my love for music and design. Renée was awesome to collaborate with and gave me free reign to come up with something that was equal parts masculine and feminine and would work across all collateral from the album cover and postcards to t-shirts and posters when the duo start touring early next year. Above is the mood board we started out with and some pieces of the final design we landed on. Can't wait to see it all in person and printed.
The CD will be released on December 7th, and until then, you can visit Renee's website to preview a few of the tracks and enjoy her beautiful, jazzy tunes.

ReplyDeleteI just listened to some of her tunes and it's beautiful! Jazz is one of my all time favorite genres of music : ) I will be purchasing Renee's album when it's released. Beautiful work as always : )
