Recent Work » Claire Cottrell on Freunde von Freunden

I've got some new work to share with you today that I've already posted about on some other outlets but thought it deserved a proper post here too.

Last August I had the pleasure of teaming up with the talented folks at Freunde von Freunden for a portrait of Claire Cottrell in her new Mount Washington home. It was my first time working with FvF and such a pleasure as I've admired them for many moons and it felt good to get behind the camera again {something I'm planning to do much more of in 2013}. Claire and I met a few years ago through a mutual friend and I've been admiring her artistic ventures and growth from afar ever since. She's a woman of many talents {art book curator, film maker, writer} and has one of the most impeccable eyes for design I've encountered in Los Angeles. Her home {which she had moved into a mere 10 days before our visit} was an inspiring mix of antique and modern finds, thoughtful collections and moments of minimalism, all in a beautifully muted palette that is so quintessentially Claire.

These are some of my favorite shots from that day, but you can head on over to Freunde von Freunden to see the full interview {written by the talented David John} and photos, along with an additional set on Zeit Online, Germany's online newspaper. A big thanks to FvF for having me on board and to Claire for welcoming us into her home. Looking forward to more collaborations with them both this year...

  7. gorgeous, honest captures of the space, & of the little things. i love the light, the clean airiness of her space. the home feels very her, & it somehow strikes a beautiful balance of 'lived in' & 'work in progress'.

you'll be collaborating with FvF again in the future, yes? i hope so.

    xo
