New Moodboard
Diving in to a fresh new branding project this week that I'm pretty pumped about. It's been a while since I've started anything new since I've been working pretty consistently with a few ongoing clients since the new year, so it's feels nice to shift gears a bit.
There was definitely a point last year where I felt like if I designed one more logo, I was going to lose my mind, so the break was a nice opportunity to evaluate and streamline my process a bit. I've learned that variety is the spice of freelancing, and I think it can be difficult to design something to its full potential when you've got a plate full of other projects that are so similar. Though it's tempting to say yes all the time, I {like so many other freelancers in this community} have been giving a lot of thought towards how I can cut my workload in half, stop working weekends, and give each project the attention it deserves. While this can certainly turn in to a whole other post on "Things I've Learned Freelancing," I'll leave you with this mood board. More soon!

Lovely mood board!
ReplyDeleteI'm curious to know who's logo/design is the black one on the bottom? It looks so much like a sketch I did. I didn't post it anywhere, but its funny to see something so similar, done very well of course. :)
i know how simular projects back to back can burn you out. i need to work in more variety. but this is oh so lovely and refreshing. pastel and muted mint meets geo pattern love. perfect!
ReplyDeleteAmen to that!
ReplyDeleteSo so pretty! bet you're super charged!
ReplyDeletenice board! I'm honored to see my work on there, inspiring you. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Alyson! So beautiful...and been meaning to find a way to credit the designers/photographers used on these, so I appreciate the heads up! :)
