Snippets of San Fran

Spent the last five days in San Francisco for a little bit of work and a little bit of pleasure. It was a welcome change of scenery and a nice opportunity to catch up with some friends who recently relocated from LA {and make some fun new ones}. As much as I love traveling, I always feel a bit disoriented coming home and trying to get back in the swing of things. Sort of wishing I had a day to decompress, but alas! Monday is already here…

So while we weren’t eating {can’t get over the food culture up there} or planning our next meal, I did some exploring and tried to take advantage of being in town by seeing a few things that have been on my list for a while. Despite the whole 7×7 thing, there is so much to do in that town; already anticipating another visit. Leaving you today with a few iPhone snaps and highlights:

+ Dinner at Bar Tartine.
+ A ferry ride to Sausalito and a visit to Heath Ceramics for their factory tour.
+ A walk through Golden Gate Park {top photo}.
+ Bi-Rite‘s lavender honey ice cream (!!).

Love the shots of the plates. If there’s one thing I know for sure, Cali is my dream trip.

  2. James Moes

Doing it right. One of the last times I was in the Bay Area I took the Sausolito/SF ferry by myself and loved the experience.

  3. Jo

Would love to go on that factory tour. Ceramics are my weakness!

  4. Sarah

So loved your photos of SF, my home town. Those SF buildings brought a smile!

if you like honey lavender ice cream, check out scoops (behind lacc or echo park). their honey lavender ice cream is my favorite.

I just came back from SF and am already missing it. We went to Heath as well and scored 4 pieces for $60! Unfortunately there are no tours on Sundays.
