I'd been hearing some buzz about Superba Snack Bar for some time, nestled on Rose Avenue, one of Venice's recently transformed side streets, but it wasn't until last week that I made my way west for a lunch visit. From its modern architecture meets casual beach-inspired interior to its menu of inspiring flavor pairings, it quickly won me over. Dare I say I may be making my way west more often, if only to enjoy another spoonful of their salted graham cracker s'mores pot. You will not be disappointed.
Best For: End-of-the-week dinner or a leisurely Sunday brunch.
Hightlights: The wallpaper designed by illustrator {and friend of owner, Paul Hibler} Geoff McFetridge, and the floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors that seamlessly bring the outdoors in when the weather heats up.
Recommendation: The smoked bucatini carbonara {pictured above}. They make their pasta by hand and smoke the dough for this particular one, making for a unique and delicious mouthful.
